This is a remote senior engineering role focused on modernizing core insurance platforms. You'll work on a real transformation programme, building new service layers and cloud-native components in Azure. It's a chance to shape architecture decisions early in your career and see your work move systems at scale.

Day-to-day, you'll drive backend engineering across .NET and Azure, contribute to design discussions, conduct code reviews, and mentor other developers. You'll break down requirements, collaborate across teams (analysts, architects, QA, DevOps, business), and own delivery from end to end. The focus is on microservices, REST APIs, event-driven data flows, and maintaining clean, scalable code.

This fits you if you have solid backend fundamentals: C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and hands-on Azure experience (App Services, Functions, Storage, Identity). You'll need end-to-end delivery experience and a habit of writing maintainable code. A computer science degree or equivalent portfolio showing API and microservices work helps.

The role focuses on building new service layers, integrating policy and claims systems, and delivering cloud-native components in Azure. You will help shape modern architecture, secure APIs, microservices, and event-driven data flows across multiple functional streams.
