The work is straightforward: you'll review English-to-Mandarin Chinese (Simplified) translations generated by a leading translation engine. For each file, you assess quality and accuracy. Most files take 15–20 minutes, which breaks down to roughly $21–$28 per hour depending on your pace.

You're a fit if you're a native Mandarin Chinese (Simplified) speaker with strong English proficiency and a background in language work—whether that's as a linguist, translator, language teacher, or similar role. You'll need to be detail-oriented and comfortable with the standards translation professionals use.

This is a project-based independent contractor position, fully remote and available across the US. About this role

Join the CrowdGen team as an Independent Contractor for Project Vistula! We are currently looking for Independent Contractors who are native Mandarin Chinese (Simplified) speakers with strong English proficiency and a strong background in language expertise. In this role, you will evaluate English-to-Mandarin Chinese (Simplified) machine translations to help enhance one of the world’s leading translation engines. Requirements: Native speaker of Mandarin Chinese (Simplified) Strong proficiency in English Professional language expertise is required (e.g., linguist, translator, language teacher or similar language-related background) Compensation: The project rate is $7.00 per file. Each file should take approximately 15–20 minutes to complete, resulting in an estimated effective hourly rate of $21.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on completion speed. Important: When applying, make sure to select both Mandarin Chinese (not Chinese) and English as your primary and/or additional languages. If one of the languages is not selected during the application, there is a high chance that your application will be rejected.
