Fleet Monitoring Specialist (HOS, ELD & Temperature Control)
Zelh
If you're starting your career and want to move into operations, this role gives you real responsibility from day one. You'll own critical tasks that keep shipments safe and on schedule—not just observation, but decision-making and coordination with dispatchers, drivers, and customers.
The work is straightforward: monitor drivers' Hours of Service for FMCSA compliance, track temperature-controlled shipments in real time, respond to alerts, and coordinate with teams to solve problems before they disrupt operations. You'll handle GPS tracking, escalate mechanical issues, and keep detailed records of exceptions and updates. It's hands-on, structured work that teaches you how modern fleet operations actually run.
You'll fit well here if you're detail-oriented, can manage multiple alerts and communications at once, and have some background in logistics, supply chain, or operations—whether from coursework, internships, or prior roles. Experience with HOS regulations or reefer operations is a plus, but what matters more is your ability to learn systems quickly and communicate clearly under pressure.
