If you want to influence how an entire engineering team ships code, this is the role. As a Staff Engineer on HMS DevOps/DevEx at Shield AI, you'll own the automation and infrastructure that powers software velocity across Hivemind Solutions. This is a lead-level position where your work directly enables hundreds of engineers to move faster and safer.

Your day-to-day: write automation scripts, configure CI/CD pipelines, and integrate tools like GitLab, Jira, and Confluence. You'll optimize compilation for C++, Python, and Node.js, manage container registries, scale GitLab runner fleets, and build secure cloud testing environments on Azure. The work is hands-on—you're not managing, you're building the infrastructure that matters.

This fits engineers with solid fundamentals in scripting and systems thinking. You don't need defense-tech experience. What matters is that you understand how good tooling multiplies team productivity, and you can write clear code to deliver it.

Job Description: As an engineer on the HMS DevOps/DevEx Team, you will write the automation, configure the environments, and build the CI/CD pipelines that power the software development lifecycle across Hivemind Solutions. Your work is hands-on and focused on engineering maximum velocity, reproducibility, and security into our distributed developer tooling and cloud testing environments. You will completely automate tool workflows by writing scripts and API integrations connecting GitLab, Jira, and Confluence. You will configure and optimize C++, Python, and Node.js compilation pipelines, scale auto-running GitLab runner fleets, manage secure Artifactory container registries, deploy Forge in Azure Gov Cloud, and write custom HMS extensions to our pi-gov GenAI routing harness.
