Sr. Staff Engineer

Cloudera

Remote· senior· $213K – $266K

This is a senior-level role that expects you to think like a leader from day one. You'll be designing the infrastructure that powers data management for Fortune 500 companies. If you've shipped production systems and want to jump straight into architectural problems at scale, this is the next step.

You'll lead the design and architecture of complex cloud services across multi-cloud and hybrid environments. Your work will touch core data platform components—storage, management, and processing systems that need to handle massive scale, security, and performance. This means moving beyond individual features into decisions that shape how thousands of engineers and customers use the platform.

You need solid fundamentals in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or large-scale backend work. A portfolio of open-source contributions or production systems helps. Cloudera values engineers who think deeply about architecture and can communicate complex tradeoffs clearly.
