If you're early in your career but have solid fundamentals in Python, SQL, and cloud platforms, this is the kind of role that accelerates your growth.
You'll architect and build scalable data pipelines on AWS using Databricks or Snowflake. You'll own the strategy for the data environment, write production-grade code, review work from other engineers, and lead cross-functional projects from start to finish. This isn't maintenance work—you're building the foundation.
This fits you if you have deep hands-on experience with data architecture, Python, SQL, and AWS. You should be comfortable with either Databricks or Snowflake, have a builder's mentality, and genuinely enjoy mentoring others. A computer science degree or equivalent is a solid background, but what matters most is your portfolio and what you've shipped.

WHAT YOU'LL DO - Architect, build, and lead: Architect and own scalable, high-performance data platforms and pipelines on AWS, not just maintain them. - Define the data ecosystem: Drive the strategy for our data environment, leveraging Databricks and/or Snowflake to create powerful, efficient data models. - Write and review critical code: Develop clean, optimized, and automated solutions using Python and SQL. Set the standard for code quality and mentor junior engineers. - Collaborate and multiply: Act as a key "force multiplier" within our cross-functional teams, leading ambiguous projects from conception to delivery. - Be a flexible leader: Embrace a "builder" mentality. In a startup, you'll have the flexibility to solve diverse challenges, and your voice will be critical in shaping our technical roadmap. WHAT YOU BRING (REQUIREMENTS) - 5-8+ years of professional data engineering experience. - Deep, expert-level proficiency with Python. - Deep, expert-level proficiency with SQL. - Hands-on, expert-level experience with Databricks OR Snowflake (certifications or experience with both is a huge plus). - Expert-level experience building and managing data solutions on AWS. - Deep expertise in designing and architecting scalable data platforms. - Proven ability to lead complex, ambiguous projects from conception to delivery. - Experience mentoring other engineers and helping to level up the team. - A "builder" mindset, a startup mentality, and a genuine thirst for knowledge. - Exceptional communication skills and the flexibility to think fast. BONUS POINTS (NICE-TO-HAVES) - Experience with GenAI, AI/ML frameworks, and MLOps. - Certifications in Databricks, Snowflake, or AWS.
