Tabs is building AI-native software for finance teams. As a Software Engineer, you'll work on products that actually solve real problems for companies managing contracts, billing, and revenue. This is a solid early-career move: you'll ship features that users depend on, work with a well-funded team, and see your code in production quickly.
Your day-to-day involves designing and deploying both AI and full-stack applications, writing clean code, researching data processing and distributed systems, and collaborating with teams to define technical specs. You'll participate in code review, test your work thoroughly, and follow industry standards. This is hands-on engineering, not theory.
This role fits you if you have a degree in computer science or a related field, can write solid code, and are curious about how systems work at scale. A portfolio or GitHub history helps. No need to be an AI expert—you'll learn on the job.

Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and deploy both AI and full stack software applications for Enterprise clients. Research and apply cutting-edge techniques in data processing, data structures, and distributed systems design. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine project requirements and technical specifications. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices and internal coding standards. Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning of enterprise applications. Work with database systems such as PostgreSQL for data storage and retrieval. Integrate external financial systems and APIs (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) with algorithmic data pipelines. Document software design and processes to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer. Requirements Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Must have at least 2 years professional experience in B2B SaaS software and building software applications for financial workflows. Experience utilizing at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, C++); working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle); modern AI models, including transformers, neural networks, and LLMs; and knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting principles, and ASC 606, also required. Must have demonstrated expertise in algorithm development through academic or industry publications in areas such as big data algorithms, distributed systems, or high-performance computing.
