Software Engineer 1

This is a solid entry point into government-adjacent engineering work. You'll build real systems that matter, work with a stable team, and get experience in a cleared environment—credentials that open doors later in your career.

You'll develop analytics pipelines and data systems using tools like Pig and PySpark. The work involves designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure that processes and analyzes data at scale. Python, Java, Scala, NiFi, and Ansible skills will help you move faster. You'll also pick up patch management and security compliance practices on the job.

This fits you if you've got a strong foundation in analytics, data engineering, or backend development. Computer science, math, and engineering majors are natural fits. You should be comfortable learning distributed systems and have at least basic Python chops. Agile experience is a plus but not required.
