QA Automation Engineer
Numentica
QA automation is a direct way to build real technical skills early in your career. You'll write code that catches bugs before they reach users, work across teams, and own the quality of products people actually use. This is hands-on engineering work, not just clicking through checklists.
In this role, you'll design and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and JavaScript or TypeScript. You'll build frameworks that other engineers rely on, validate APIs and integrations between systems, and connect your tests to CI/CD pipelines so automation runs automatically. You'll also translate what the business needs into clear test scenarios and log defects in Jira or Azure DevOps.
This fits you if you have solid fundamentals in programming, understand how web applications work, and can learn testing tools quickly. A portfolio showing JavaScript or TypeScript projects helps. You'll need strong communication skills since you'll work with both technical and business teams.
