This is a Principal-level role that actually makes sense early in your career if you want to move fast. You'll own cloud infrastructure design at enterprise scale, not just execute tasks. You're building the systems that major organisations depend on, and you'll get direct customer exposure from day one.
Your day-to-day means designing and building AWS landing zones, automating platforms with Terraform, and deciding how to package services (AMIs, Docker, serverless). You'll define technical strategy on infrastructure-as-code, lead decisions on cloud operations, and apply security and reliability practices that matter. You're not shadowing—you're driving transformations.
This fits you if you have hands-on AWS knowledge, understand IaC concepts, and can think about systems at scale. Computer science, engineering, or self-taught developers with solid portfolios are welcome. You'll need to be eligible for SC clearance (the company handles the process), and willingness to pursue DV clearance is a plus for certain placements.
