NewForce: Insights (Project Extension Team) - Cohort 11
Generation West Virginia
If you finished a data science or analytics program and want real project work before diving into the job hunt, this extension role gives you exactly that. You'll keep working with the same team and pay structure you know, but shift focus to meaningful analysis projects that actually get used.
You'll spend 3 months collaborating on data analysis work for Generation West Virginia and its partners. Your projects will produce real insights the organization can act on, and you'll report to the NewForce Program Director with regular check-ins from an industry mentor who guides your technical work. This is structured project experience with actual stakes, not busy work.
This fits recent grads who finished NewForce training and want to build their portfolio while staying supported during the job search. You should be comfortable with data tools and ready to take on analysis problems with some guidance. Prior analytics coursework or project experience helps.
To apply, submit your profile through CareerJumpship. The program takes four trainees per cohort at $11/hour for 35 hours per week over 3 months, fully remote.
