ICAM Engineer – IBM Security Verify Governance (ISVG)

3M Consultancy

Remote

If you're starting your career in engineering, this ICAM Engineer role offers early exposure to real-world identity and access management systems. You'll work on federal-level security infrastructure, which means your work matters and scales. It's a chance to build deep technical knowledge in a specialized domain rather than staying surface-level.

Your day-to-day involves gathering requirements from government stakeholders, designing identity governance workflows, and configuring IBM Security Verify Governance components. You'll handle complex tasks like setting up provisioning policies, identity lifecycle rules, roles and entitlements, and authentication policies. You'll also participate in solution design discussions and help develop test plans to validate your work.

This fit works best if you have a technical foundation in engineering or computer science, some comfort with systems thinking, and genuine interest in security and identity management. A portfolio showing problem-solving or systems design experience helps.
