Frontend Software Engineer — Secure Mission Systems
rackner
This is a solid early-career move if you want real responsibility from day one. You'll build frontend code that directly supports defense missions—work that matters beyond the typical startup dashboard. Rackner pairs that impact with the chance to grow across multiple technical areas: secure frontend development, API integration, testing, and cross-team collaboration.
You'll develop modern features for a mission-planning and decision-support platform using React and TypeScript. Your job is translating complex data and technical requirements into clear, responsive user experiences. You won't be isolated on small interface tickets. Instead, you'll work alongside backend, AI/ML, security, and platform engineers, deepening your skills in real-world, security-focused development.
This fits you if you have a foundation in JavaScript or TypeScript, understand React basics, and want to learn fast on the job. A computer science or engineering degree helps, but a strong portfolio of projects matters more. You should be comfortable with remote work and willing to travel to Laurel, Maryland roughly every six weeks for in-person sprint planning.
The role is fully remote within the United States and contingent upon contract clearance. Apply through CareerJumpShip to express your interest and connect with Rackner's team.
