Frontend Engineer (Accessibility Focus)
Hyphen
This is a contract role that puts you on a real accessibility engineering team from day one. You'll work on modern web applications used by people who depend on accessible design, which means your code directly impacts usability for thousands of users. It's technical work with purpose, and a strong addition to an early career portfolio.
You'll lead the development of accessibility fixes and improvements across React and Next.js applications. You'll collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to build interfaces that meet modern web standards. This means architecting solutions that matter, not just executing assigned tasks.
You need solid TypeScript, React, and Next.js skills. You should have hands-on experience implementing accessibility features. Material UI proficiency is required. You'll work in English with a European team on a remote, 6-month engagement. This role asks for 5+ years of professional experience building scalable web applications, which may be a stretch for recent grads—but if you've built serious projects and have demonstrable A11y implementation work in your portfolio, it's worth applying.
