Forward Deployed Engineer

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Cinder, you'll work directly with customers and internal teams on technical challenges that matter. This role puts you in the field early—no six-month onboarding cycle. You'll learn fast because you have to, and that's the point.

Your day involves debugging systems, solving deployment problems, supporting customers in real time, and feeding what you learn back to the product team. You'll write code, troubleshoot infrastructure, and own outcomes. It's hands-on work that shows you how software actually runs in the world.

This fits you if you have a CS degree or equivalent self-taught foundation, can reason through systems problems, and aren't afraid to ask questions. A portfolio or GitHub history helps. You should be comfortable with uncertainty and willing to pick up tools as needed.
