Commissioning Lead (Instrumentation/ICSS)

This is a senior-level role that puts you in charge of critical system startup and safety on major oil and gas projects. If you want to move from entry-level work into real leadership — overseeing teams, managing vendors, and owning commissioning delivery — this is the kind of position that builds that foundation.
As Commissioning Lead, you'll manage the instrumentation and integrated control and safety systems (ICSS) side of large EPC contracts. That means reading P&IDs and datasheets, running completions walkdowns, leading Pre-Startup Safety Reviews, writing commissioning procedures, and making sure everything meets design standards and safety codes. You're responsible for the checklist development, vendor oversight, and the technical delivery that gets systems live.
You'll need 8+ years in oil and gas commissioning (including at least one year managing people or vendors), deep knowledge of offshore facilities and discipline design, and hands-on experience with ICSS commissioning on big projects. A bachelor's degree in applied sciences or engineering is required.

About this role
Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in applied sciences or engineering. Knowledge and/or Experience:- 8 years' experience with large-project commissioning in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel. In depth knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, appropriate safety criteria, offshore facilities and discipline design, construction, operations and engineering administration. Knowledge and experience in discipline commissioning delivery processes and associated project phases, familiar with completions walkdowns and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews. Experience in an Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) role for large EPC contracts, with strong Integrated Control and Safety Systems commissioning/technical skills. Experience in project completions and project systemization, including check sheet development, check sheet allocation, writing of pre-commissioning / commissioning documents such as commissioning procedures and method statements. Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies. Expert in reading P&IDs, Datasheets, General Arrangement drawings and procedures. Knowledge in projects execution, engineering, operations, pre-commissioning, commissioning and systems completion. Knowledge in compliance with contract requirements including codes and standards, and contract technical specification compliance. Experience with vendors operating in the LNG industry, such as compressors, power generation, control systems, topsides, etc. Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc. Experience in start-up support to Operation.
