Backend Software Engineer
Alchemy
If you want to work on systems that actually matter early in your career, this is it. Alchemy powers millions of users on blockchain infrastructure—the kind of scale most engineers don't see until much later. You'll own real services, make architectural decisions that stick, and solve problems that have actual constraints (latency, throughput, reliability). That's rare for someone starting out.
Your day-to-day: design and build backend infrastructure and APIs. Own distributed systems handling high volume at low latency. Debug production issues across the full stack and ship fixes that improve reliability. Lead design discussions. Set standards for how your team builds things. You'll validate everything through testing and benchmarking, not guesses.
This fits engineers who've shipped code, understand systems thinking, and want to learn fast in a real environment. A strong CS foundation, experience with backend languages (Go, Rust, Python, Java), and comfort debugging complex systems matter more than years on a resume.
Apply through CareerJumpShip with your resume, GitHub, or portfolio. Alchemy reviews candidates on what you can actually do.
About this role
